Ok, I feel better. Tonight's run was tough but I got through it. My overall pace was the same but my heart rate was lower than yesterday and I felt like I definitely could have gone further.
40 min run....with others! I know they were just keeping my pace but I appreciated it and I didn't give up. We did a loop but halfway through the initial part, the wind changed so the whole last half was into the wind and snow which was stingy snow. I think I got a Mother Nature exfoliation on my face.
Can I get a whoop-whoop for running?

Run Club - Day one
Yup....slowest one out. Jesus. I was actually really upset at the end of my run, even had some tears. It was such as struggle - when does it get easier?
Alright pity party over. We will see how the next three weeks go. If I am still struggling, we are going to reevaluate a bit and see what we can do. The group itself is an amazing group of people. One lady there has done over 15 marathons. That's a lot of miles....
The schedule is tough so I am going to do what I can.
Garmin came it out with me and I like it. I want to play around with it to see if I can have my heart rate show as part of the larger display 'cause right now it is very wee in the top right corner. It did seem to be pretty accurate so that makes me feel a bit better. It didn't bother me with the size of it either so again, money well spent in my newbie runner opinion.

- Tuesdays: 45 min run with the group
- Wednesdays: 60 min run (yeah...tomorrow should be F.U.N.) with the group
- Friday: steady run on your own
- Sunday: LSD with the group

Dear Nike+
I still love you Ned but it is time to shake things up a bit. Since the dealio on Costco.ca was so good, I couldn't resist:
You will still be in my life, don't worry. We have logged too many KMs and burned many calories together and I won't forget it. I promise to not be one of 'those' runners who have every gadget and gizmo on the planet in the pursuit of improvement.

Don't worry, it isn't a break up, just a break....

Goals Review and Hot Yoga in Burlington Ontario!
Goal: Get moving more outside of exercise.
Result: Moving along....I have definitely been doing more over the last few weeks. It may not seem like a lot but it is at least something. I have been parking farther away when I go out and walking when I can. I have also been taking the stairs a ton at work but using the water/bathroom facilities on the 3rd floor. Going up and down 3 flights of stairs may not look like a lot but when you drink as much water as I do, they add up. (total of 600 stairs the other day. I wouldn't do that on a Stairmaster!)
Goal: Plan out meals.
Result: Awesome! I have been planning meals out week by week and it really hasn't been that difficult. I wrote out a list of approx. 20 different meals for us to have and on Sunday, I just plan them in based on our insane work/working out schedules. So far...so good.
Goal: Don't be so scheduled with exercise
Result: Much better! There have been times where I have almost chucked a workout by saying that since I didn't make it there at a certain time, well it is too late but I stoped myself and went anyway. A 35-45 min workout is still better than nothing.
There is finally going to be Hot Yoga in Burlington....Yeah! They are not open yet but here is the link if interested. http://www.mokshayogaburlington.com/index.htm
I can't wait to see their schedule so I can try to fit some classes into my schedule. Ashtanga is only once a week and ends mid December and I am going to need this since my half training starts the end of November.
