Ironman Arizona

I've been to a lot of different events as a spectator – half marathons, marathons, triathlons and of course the amazing experience at the hubs World Duathlon Championship.    This past weekend was another exciting, nerve racking, tiring, fantastic and humbling experience:
IMAZ
  • Swim 2.4 miles
  • Bike 112 miles
  • Run 26.2 miles
Our coach competed in IM #10 and we went to support her.  She does so much for all of us, it was the very least we could do.  Ironman is a lonnnnngggg day starting before the sun comes up and ending well into the night.  To see the athletes was incredible..We cheered, we cowbelled, I said:  “Good job!  Awesome work!  Way to go!” about a million times and loved every minute of it.
Our coach did a phenomenal job just finishing shy of a PB.  She trained her butt off and has more mental strength of anyone I know.

There are some hardcore spectators out there:
Green Man AZ
These guys were hilarious……

…and needed more cowbell…and less speedo…
speedo 2
The finish line @ IM is like nothing I have ever experienced.  We again proved our cheering prowess by yelling and clapping like fools for everyone who crossed.

Done with the hardware to prove it!
IMAZ done!
A day I will NEVER forget and am grateful I got to experience.
Congrats again Jo.  You.Rock.

Wow is all I have to say about the speedo :)

Even on TV Ironman finishes are awesome- I can't even imagine how exciting and inspiring they must be in person. Congratulations to your coach!!
