1. The hubs and I put our giant Christmas tree up a little while ago. Since we aren’t hosting any dinners/parties, we debated putting it up but we went ahead and it looks great. There was some grumbling about the amount of work for just the two of us but I said we should just suck it up and be eff-ing jolly about it. We did, we were and I feel somewhat Christmas-y for the first time in a few years.
2. Last night was a FANTASTIC Z3 (tempo run)…I felt like I kicked the crap out of the run. It was our first ‘cold’ run involving temps in the ‘negative’ range. (~23 F for you non-metrics) Old Man Winter wasn’t too bad so I’ll be jolly about that.
3. This weekend is a time filled with Christmas visits and family. I love the fact that for our gathering on Saturday, I was asked to bring a salad as apparently I make interesting salads. It makes me jolly my family remembers this…but now I am under some pressure to come up with something unique. We are doing an Italian theme so if you have any vegan ideas…hit me up.
4. My new shoes are about to make an official appearance in the run rotation. They are bright so I love them and they make me jolly:
Are you a jolly Holiday person?
Are you a flashy or understated kind of person?

I'm usually really excited for christmas to see my family but this year has been so hectic and now our families are making my husband and I be apart for the holidays! We'll be going back home and spend time with our respective families as they live 4 hrs apart!
We didn't even put our tree up yet and I am not sure it will happen either! Enjoy this time of the year :)
I think I'm pretty jolly!!
Good luck with the salad and have fun with all the festivities.
Nice kicks! Those will make you fast FOR SURE.
Those shoes are awesome! I wish I had the recipe to share with you that someone made at Thanksgiving this year. It was an arugula salad with roasted hazelnuts, pomegranate seeds, persimmons, and ??? other stuff! It was awesome.
I havent put my tree up, I dunno when I will, Decemeber seems to be going by super fast
yes, very jolly ... the shoes especially ... will you be running in the 5k on Saturday?
Would be a breeze for you.
Wow, those are some frigid temperatures!

I'm also understated except when it comes to shoes. And I love your bright new kicks!

We also put up a tree over the weekend! We don't have any parties, and don't expect anyone to come over! It's nice to have a tree!
